Ryan Fogarty

Ryan Fogarty, 37, of La Porte, Indiana passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Northwest Health La Porte surrounded by those who loved him most. A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022 from 4-7 PM at Root Funeral Home. Masks are suggested.
Ryan was born December 20, 1984, in La Porte, Ind. to Michael and Christine Fogarty. He grew up in La Porte alongside his sister Alicia Decker (Zach) and many friends. After graduating from Michigan City High School in 2002, Ryan worked at Sullair as a CNC machinist for almost 20 years.
On August 13, 2011 Ryan married the love of his life Hillary Siegel. In the 10 years they were married, Ryan and Hillary truly shared a lifetime of love. In 2015 they became parents when they welcomed their son, Owen. Ryan was an unmatched, dedicated husband and father who loved his family more than anything.
Ryan had many interests including all types of vehicles, mechanics, RC cars, music and hockey. He enjoyed going to concerts with his wife, watching Blackhawks games with his parents, and took immense joy in sharing all his interests with his son.
Ryan was also passionate about his small business, Torque Performance, LLC. He took pride in matching customers with diesel truck parts and wheels. In his spare time, Ryan also enjoyed enhancing his own vehicles. If he didnt know how to make a repair or install a part, he impressively taught himself.
Surviving are Ryans wife, son, parents, and sister, as well as his grandparents Bill and Diane Dyer of La Porte, Ind. and Gilbert and Connie Fogarty of Davenport, Fl. Ryan is also survived by his mother in law Kristi Siegel, brother in law Joseph Siegel (Melissa), sister in law Lauren Mitchell (Jason), and three nieces. He is preceded in death by his grandmother Huguette Veillette and father in law Joseph Siegel.
To those who knew him, Ryan will be remembered as a kind, fun, hardworking and thoughtful person who could be relied on no matter what the situation. He will be missed more than any words could express, but will forever be in the hearts of his family and friends. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Hillary Fogarty for Owens education fund.
