Justin Wayne Edwards, age 31, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 13th, 2024, at Franciscan Health. Justin was born on November 26th, 1992, in Michigan City, Indiana, to Marianne Shores and Kevin (Keren) Edwards. Justin is preceded in death by Kevin Edwards (Father) and maternal grandparents Milon (Gloria) Shores.
Justin is survived by Marianne Shores and Allen (Adrienne) Laskoske. His siblings Kyle (Hailey) Shores, Michelle Edwards, Michael Edwards, and Jacob Edwards will miss him tremendously.
Justin is also survived by many family members including Brian Shores (Uncle), Amy Shores (Aunt), Heather (Steve) Brinker (Aunt/Uncle), Payton (Tyler) Shores (Cousin), Makenna Shores (Cousin), Dalton Shores (Cousin), and many nieces and nephews.
Justin enjoyed numerous activities including fishing, writing poetry, drawing, baking, listening to music, and helping others. He was an avid advocate for mental health awareness and recently began engaging in LaPorte County’s Crisis Intervention Team (CIT).
Justin loved spending time with his family, especially his sister, Michelle. Aside from his friends and family, Justin loved and adored Christine Cuddeback and Dan McKinney, two extraordinary advocates and mentors in his life.
Justin will be deeply missed by all who came to know and love him. A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 20th, 2024 from 3:00PM-6:00 PM CST at Root Funeral Home located at 312 E 7th Street, Michigan City, Indiana. Flowers and/or memorial contributions can be made to Root Funeral Home for the Edwards family.
