Sharon L. Bacon, 68, of Michigan City passed away on Friday, September 14, 2012 at IU LaPorte Hospital.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Root Funeral Home with Rev. Truman Wingo officiating. Viewing will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 -8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the Root Funeral Home.
Sharon was born June 26, 1944 in Michigan City to the late William and Henrietta (Schwager) Schultz.
On July 18, 1962 in Michigan City she married Jerry Bacon who is surviving in Michigan City.
Also surviving are three children: Laurie Allen of Michigan City; Jerry (Kristin) Bacon Jr. of Kentucky and Wendy Loomis of Kentucky; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one bother Henry Schultz of Michigan City.
One brother William Schultz is preceding her in death.
Sharon worked along side of her husband at Jerry's Services in The Pines.
She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and was a great wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
